South Carolina Highway Patrol
Trooper Lance Cor-poral David T. Bailey was killed in the line of duty on April
5, 2000 on Interstate highway 85 in Greenville County, South Carolina. In his
honor family and friends created the David Bailey Memorial K-9 Fund. This
fund raises money to purchase and train working canines for law enforcement
agen-cies. The current cost to purchase and train a canine is $12,000.00.
We invite
the public and members of the media to join the family of Lance Corporal David
T. Bailey as they present a trained Belgian Malinois to the Spartanburg County
Sheriff's Office. The presentation ceremony will be held on Monday, March 25,
2013 at 11:00 AM in the Squad Room of the Spartan-burg County Sheriff's Office
which is located at 8045 Howard Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
