10/04/2013 - Sheriff Wright speaks to Media about Operation Rollling Thunder
This morning Sheriff Chuck
Wright spoke with the media about this year's Operation Rolling Thunder. The
annual traffic enforcement operation that began in 2007 concluded this year's operation
at midnight last night. The operation kicked off on Monday morning, September
30, 2013 and ran around the clock until Thursday evening. Sheriff Wright
thanked the 86 officers who represented the 21 local, state and federal law

week and was grateful that there were no injuries to citizens or officers.
While the amount of drugs seized was less than in some previous years Sheriff

02/05/2014 - Sheriff's Office Investigates Overnight Robeery and Shooting
About 12:40 AM this morning
deputies were dispatched to a residence at 305 Draymont Drive in reference to a
report of a robbery and shooting. Upon arrival deputies found a female victim
that had been shot. A second female victim told deputies they were approached
by two black males who were armed with handguns who tried to rob them. One of
the suspects shot one of the victims and the suspects fled the scene on foot.
Both suspects were shot by one of the victims prior to fleeing the scene. The
female victim and the suspects that were shot are currently being treated at a

their medical conditions. Sheriff Chuck Wright will hold a Press Conference
this afternoon at 2:00 PM to discuss the details of this case further with the
media. Sheriff Wright does want the public to know that everyone involved in
this case has been indentified and is in custody. There is no danger to the
community from these suspects.
During his 2:00 PM press conference
this afternoon Sheriff Chuck Wright informed the public that two of the three
suspects in an overnight robbery were in custody and his Investigators and
Deputies were actively looking for the third suspect. Last night shortly before
midnight two women arrived at a home on Draymont Drive. As they were getting
out of their vehicle they were suddenly approached by two males armed with
handguns. The suspects had observed the two women withdraw money from an ATM at
the Hot Spot on Henry Street in the city of Spartanburg and followed them to
the residence on Draymont Drive. One suspect kept one of the victims inside the
vehicle while the second suspect took the other victim toward the front door of
the residence. For a reason yet to be determined the suspect with the victim in
the vehicle shot the victim multiple times. The other victim produced a handgun
and began to shoot at the two suspects who then fled the scene on foot. One of
the suspects ended up in the yard of a residence on Archer Road. The homeowner
confronted the suspect while armed with a shotgun. The suspect charged at the
homeowner who struck the suspect with the butt of the shotgun. The suspect fell
backwards and charged at the homeowner again only to be struck by the homeowner
with the barrel of the shotgun. The suspect was detained until deputies
arrived.
The second suspect was
located nearby by deputies and taken into custody. Both suspects were suffering
from gunshot wounds and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The
wounded victim was also transported to a local hospital as well. All the
individuals remain in the hospital at this time. In keeping with current HIPPA
laws we are not able to comment on their medical conditions. Investigators are
looking for the third suspect, Letoshman Bobo. Mr. Bobo was on the scene and
the driver of the vehicle that the other two suspects planned to make their
getaway in. At this point in this ongoing investigation we have not found
any link between any of the suspects or the victims. We have not been able to
get an accurate description of the vehicle Mr. Letoshman Bobo was driving.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Letoshman Bobo is asked to
