Late yesterday afternoon Investigators assigned to the
Property Crime Unit of the Sheriff's Office located an individual they believed
may be responsible for several Burglaries in the Asheville Highway are just
outside the city limits of Spartanburg. During questioning by Investigators the
suspect, Ikheim Rhyull Harmon, confessed to seven burglaries - Farm Credit AG
South - Case 14041088, three burglaries to Smith Animal Hospital - Cases
14041219, 14041592 and 14050229, and three separate burglaries to Friendly
Finance - Case 14041360, Liberty Tax Service - Case 14041375 and Direct
Insurance - Case 14041353. Investigators also recovered a Marcus Lattimore
jersey that was stolen from Farm Credit AG South. Mr. Hannon is currently in
the Spartanburg County Detention Center

05/17/2014 - Clifton Man Arrested in Connection with Murder of His Wife
On Saturday, May 17, 2014,
deputies responded to 511 Hawk Hill Road in the Clifton community in response
to a 911 call from a man at that residence. Upon arrival deputies found that
man's wife, Mitzi Larson, had been the victim of a shooting. Investigators from
the Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes Unit began their investigation of this case
and developed the victim's husband, Michael Lee Larson, as the only suspect in
this case. During the course of their interview with Mr. Larson he informed
Investigators that he had shot his wife with a shotgun which resulted in her
death. Investigators presented the findings of their investigation to a
Spartanburg County Magistrate Judge who issued two warrants for the arrest of
Mr. Larson. He has been charged with one count each of Murder and Possession of
a Weapon During a Violent Crime. Mr. Larson is currently in the Spartanburg
County Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing at a time and date
to be set by the court.

05/28/2014 - Spartanburg Man Charged with Sex Offenses
On March 7,
2014 a report was filed with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office regarding
illegal sexual contact between the complainant's boyfriend, Xavier Fair, and
two underage minor female children. An investigation into these allegations was
conducted by an Investigator assigned to the Sheriff's Office Special Victims
Unit. The Investigation discovered that Mr. Fair had engaged in sexual battery
with one or both of the two female victims, ages 8 years old and 16 years old
at the time the report was filed, over a period of time between November 22,
2005 through March 7, 2014. These findings were presented to a Spartanburg
County Magistrate Judge who issued warrants for the arrest of Mr. Fair on two
counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor less than 11 years old. Mr. Fair
was returned to Spartanburg County from Phoenix, Arizona and booked into the
Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office Detention Center early this morning. He is
currently awaiting a bond hearing at a time to be set by the court.

06/02/2014 - Investigation into the Disappearance of Spartanburg Woman Continunes
The Spartanburg County
Sheriff's Office continues their investigation into the disappearance of Nicole
Goodlett who was reported missing by family members on March 12, 2014. During
the course of the investigation the Sheriff's Office has sent out two Press
Releases to the media along with a statement from the Goodlett family asking
the public for information that would help find Nicole. So far no information
has come in that has lead investigators to the whereabouts of Ms. Goodlett.
Investigators feel that Ms. Goodlett may have been a victim of foul play in or
near Berkeley County, SC. The family has put up a reward of $2000 for any and
all information that may provide any leads in this case. CrimeStoppers is

Nicole
Goodlett was last seen on February 20,2014 at 160 Loblolly Drive in Spartanburg

Nicole goes by the nicknames of Alazay or Zay. She has the following tattoos; a
rose bush on the outside of her lower right leg with the names James, Bozena,
Daniel, Nicole and Jessica. The word Capricorn on her right wrist, 3 Chinese
symbols below her navel and a digital QR code tattoo on her left ankle. Ms.
Goodlett is the mother of 9 month old twins and a 5 year old son.

06/20/2014 - Sheriff's Office Searching for Stabbing Suspect
Earlier today deputies
responded to 308 Lilly Lane in the Lyman community to check on the welfare of a
female resident at this address. While in route to this address deputies were
advised that the call had been upgraded to a stabbing. An investigation of this
incident by the Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes Unit identified Christopher
Allen Middleton as the suspect in this case. Mr. Middleton is 43 years old,
stands 5'9" tall and weighs approximately 220. He is bald with some facial hair
and was last seen running from the residence wearing a yellow in color hoodie,
white shirt and green shorts. Mr. Middleton is the husband of the victim. The
complainant told deputies that the victim and Mr. Middleton had been arguing
since last night. The topic of the argument and what motivated Mr. Middleton to
stab his wife is not known at this time.
A Spartanburg County Magistrate
has issued two warrants for the arrest of Mr. Middleton on one count each of
Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime. If anyone
has any information about where Mr. Christopher Allen Middleton can be located

06/28/2014 - Spartanburg Couple Arrested on Child Negelect Charges
Yesterday deputies responded
to 123 Old Low Road in response to an assault call. Once on the scene further
investigation into this call revealed that the ten children living at 270 Old
Low Road were living in conditions not conducive to their health and well
being. Deputies made the decision to place all of the children into emergency
protective custody. The parents of the children, Andrej and Natalia Sokil were
arrested and charged with three counts each of Neglect of a Child or Helpless
Person and transported to the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office Detention
Center where they are awaiting a bond hearing at a time to be set by the court.
The children are as follows: 1
year old female, 2 year old male, 4 year old male, 6 year old male, 7 year old
female, 9 year old male, 11 year old male, 12 year old male, 14 year old male,
and a 15 year old female. Andrej and Natalia Sokil are the biological parents
of the children.

06/30/2014 - Sheriff's Office Looking for Endangered Runaway
On June 29, 2014 a Runaway
Juvenile report was filed with the Sheriff's. The Sheriff's Office is searching
for 15 year old Vazquavia Littlejohn. She was last seen at 5:00 PM on June 29,
2014. Her physical description and description of the clothing she was last
seen wearing are included in the attached report. Ms. Littlejohn has a medical
condition for which she must taken prescribed medication on a regular basis.
When she left home she did not have this medication in her possession. She has
been entered NCIC as a Runaway Juvenile. If anyone sees Miss Littlejohn or has
any information about where she may be located they are asked to call 911 in
Spartanburg County or 1.888.CRIME.SC from outside Spartanburg County.

07/09/2014 - Student Arrested for Possession of Firearm on Campus
The Spartanburg County
Sheriff's Office has arrested Kwame Obrian Fernanders, 20 years old, of
Spartanburg, SC and has charged him with one count of Possession of a Weapon on
School Property. The charge is in connection to an investigation by the Sheriff's
Office Violent Crimes Unit into a request made by the Spartanburg Community
College Police Department. The Chief of Police of the SCC Police Department had
received a tip that a student was carrying a handgun on school property.
Investigators located the student and found that he was not in possession of a
handgun. However, another student that came with him to school today, Mr. Fernanders,
was in possession of a handgun.
Mr. Fernanders was arrested and
transported to the Sheriff's office and then to the detention center. He was
booked in on the arrest warrant and three outstanding bench warrants issued by
the City of Spartanburg Municipal Court on unrelated charges. Investigators do
not believe that Mr. Fernanders intended to harm anyone at the college with the
handgun. Mr. Fernanders is awaiting a bond hearing at a time to be set by the
court.
The
Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office and the Spartanburg Community College
Police Department were able to work together to remove this student and the
weapon in his possession from the cam-pus as part of the ongoing effort to keep
students, faculty and staff safe.

7/31/2014 - Investigators make arrest in Armed Robbery Case, still searching for more suspects
The Violent Crimes Investigators of the Spartanburg County
Sheriff's Office have made an arrest in an Armed Robbery incident that occurred
yesterday, July 30, 2014, at approx. 3:30 PM at 3159 Longbow Dr. in the Cedar
Springs area. Aaron McMahan, B/M, 1106 Union St., Spartanburg, SC, 29306, is in
custody and charged with Accessory Before the Fact of a Felony.
The investigation
has also revealed a second suspect, who is still at large. He is Bradley Rashad
Jefferson, B/M, 119 Celestial St., Spartanburg, SC, 29306. Jefferson is charged
with Armed Robbery and is also wanted on a General Sessions bench warrant for
Failure to Appear for the offense of Criminal Domestic Violence – Second
Offense.
The investigation
continues in an attempt to identify the third W/M suspect.
Anyone with information as to Jefferson's whereabouts is

8/8/2014 - Charges made in Day Care Child Abuse Case
The Special Victims Unit of the Spartanburg County Sheriff's
Office has signed 4 warrants on the two former employees of Main St. USA at 117
E. Main St., Inman, SC, which was first reported by some media outlets last
Thursday, July 31, 2014. The two former employees are Sonya Smith Fredo, and
Anastasia "Stacy" Faith Whitlock. Both are charged with 2 counts of Unlawful
Neglect of a Child on 2 juvenile male victims under the age of 10 years old,
and one of the victims has Down syndrome. Both Fredo and Whitlock turned themselves
in earlier this afternoon to the Warrant Office and have been booked into the
Spartanburg County Detention Facility.
ANOTHER UPDATE
Whitlock has been
charged with a third count of Unlawful Neglect, and that victim is her
biological child. That incident was one of the incidents captured on the smart
phone video. Both her children have been released to their biological father.

08/10/2014 - Man Charged with Attempted Murder after shooting his Roomate
On 08/09/2014 at approximately 5:29 pm, Deputies responded
to 145 Parkwood Dr, Spartanburg, SC in reference to a shooting call. Upon
arrival Deputies found a male victim who had been shot several times. Deputies and Investigators with Violent Crimes
Division were able to determine through their investigation that the suspect,
David Keith Smith and victim, Randy Claw Lawson were roommates at 145 Parkwood
Dr. An argument began between the two roommates,
which resulted in David Smith retrieving a handgun and shooting Lawson several
times. Lawson was conscious and breathing when Deputies arrived on scene. Lawson
was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Investigators signed
Attempted Murder and Possession of a Firearm during a Violent Crime on David
Smith. Smith is currently in the Spartanburg County Detention Center.

08/14/2014 - Sheriff Recognizes three Retirees at Luncheon
Sheriff Chuck Wright recognized three Spartanburg County
Sheriff's Office Employees today at a Retirement Luncheon in their honor. Today marked the beginning of retirement for
Deputies Ted Beatty and Chris Durham along with Administrative Assistant Jean
Epps. The three retirees combined for a total of 83 years of Service to the
citizens of Spartanburg County. Each was recognized for their years of service and were presented plaques
from Sheriff Wright commemorating their time at the Sheriff's Office.
Jean Epps – Jean served as an Administrative Assistant with Sheriff's
Office beginning her duties in 1987, serving a total of 27 yrs.
Sergeant Ted Beaty – Ted began his career with the
Spartanburg County Sheriff's office in 1978 and has served continually as a
Deputy Sheriff. Ted has served in several capacities to include: Uniform Patrol,
Criminal Investigation Division, and Sergeant of the Hazardous Devices Unit.
Master Deputy Chris Durham – Chris began his career with South
Carolina Department of Probation, Pardon, and Parole in 1994 before beginning
his duties as Sheriff's Deputy in 1999.
Chris has served in several capacities to include: Uniform Patrol Division, Criminal
Investigation Division, and School Resource Officer.
We congratulate each of these retirees, and thank them for their

08/14/2014 - 24 Participants graduate from The Spartangburg County Sheriff's Office Citizen Academy
Last night, 24 Spartanburg County
Citizens graduated from The Citizen's Police Academy. T he Academy lasted 10
weeks and introduced participants to the various functions of the Spartanburg County
Sheriff's Office and featured instruction by staff from the different units of
the Sheriff's Office. The goal of the Citizen's Police Academy, in addition to
providing an overview of the Sheriff's Office, is to create meaningful
partnerships with the citizens of Spartanburg County and give the Sheriff's
Office the ability to serve our citizens better and more efficiently through
the open exchange of knowledge and communication. Thank you for your
participation in this Academy!

8/19/2014 - Violent Crime Investigator's seek publics assistance in locating Robbery Suspect
The Violent Crimes Investigators at the Spartanburg County
Sheriff's Office have identified and signed a warrant on the suspect
responsible for the Strong Armed Robbery at the Sunoco station at 2391
Reidville Rd. last night at approx. 8:40 PM. He is Harold Gene Justice, W/M,
DOB: 102060, 313 Daffodil Circle, Moore, SC, 29369. Justice was staying at
Southern Suites at 1993 Reidville Rd., which is within walking distance of the
incident location. He has been evicted from there as a result of this incident.
All efforts to locate Justice today have been unsuccessful; so anyone with knowledge

8/22/2014 - SVU Investigator's make arrest in Fondling Case
Earlier this morning, the Special Victims Unit of the
Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office made an arrest in the fondling incidents
that occurred last Sunday in several local stores.
The suspect is
Romel Alexander Alfaro, W/M, DOB: 072794, 210 Arial Circle, Spartanburg, SC,
29301. Yesterday morning, a third victim came forward who had an incident with
suspect at Wal-Mart on Dorman Centre Dr. that also occurred Sunday night,
August 17, 2014, around the same time frame as the incidents at Target and
Ingles. From viewing the Wal-Mart video, after this incident with a third white
female, suspect was also seen assaulting a fourth B/F victim, but she hasn't
come forward at this time.
SVU investigators
received a tip from a citizen who was involved in a road rage incident with
suspect on Friday, August 15, 2014, on Reidville Rd. That citizen called
Highway Patrol, who cited suspect for Reckless Driving and Minor in Possession
of an Alcohol, which is how we got his vital information.
Two of the
victims picked him out of a photo line-up yesterday, and an SVU investigator
discussed the incidents with a magistrate, who issued 2 warrants on Alfaro for
Assault and Battery – First Degree. A third warrant for the same charge will be
signed later today, since one of the victim lives out of county. Investigators
looked for suspect last night without success, but they located him at home
this morning. Suspect confessed to all three incidents, and we recovered the
clothes seen in the videos.

10/20/2014 - Attempted murder suspect arrested after vehicle pursuit, deputies still searching for second suspect
On 10/17/2014, Deputies with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office
responded to a shooting call on Reeves St in the Enoree community of Spartanburg
County. Deputies determined that two men
were shot at while standing on the front porch of a residence, but neither was
hit. Through investigative efforts it was determined that the suspects were
Mark Harbin and Anthony Waters. Investigators with the SCSO presented their case
to a Magistrate who then issued Attempted Murder warrants on Mark Harbin and
Anthony Waters.
On 10/19/2014, a deputy with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office
Uniform Patrol Division was on routine patrol in the lower part of the county when
he spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspect's vehicle. When the
deputy ran the vehicle's tag it came back registered to Mark Harbin. The deputy
attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the vehicle refused to stop for
the deputy. A vehicle pursuit began was
eventually concluded when Troopers from the South Carolina Highway Patrol were
able to stop the vehicle. Taken into
custody was Mark Harbin on the Attempted Murder Warrants and on charges for
Failing to Stop for Blue Lights.
Anthony Waters is still at large.

10/27/2014 - Violent Crimes Invstigators seek help in locating Murder Suspect
Last night at approx. 7:45 PM, deputies responded to the
scene of a shooting at the intersection of Totteridge Dr. and Ripple Rd. in the
Brookside Village community in western Spartanburg County. A white male victim was
found deceased at the scene. Subsequent investigation led to the identification
of a suspect. He is Dannie Isaiah Hamilton, Jr., goes by the street name of
Boomer, B/M, 107 Wellington Rd., Wellford, SC, 29385. Warrants have been signed
on him for the offenses of Murder and Possession of a Firearm during the
Commission of a Violent Crime. Efforts to locate Hamilton have proved
unsuccessful so far; so anyone with any information is asked to please Crime
Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and if their
information leads to the location and arrest of Hamilton, they will be eligible

11/3/2014 - Person of interest arrested and charged with murder of his mother
On 11/02/2014, Pacolet Police responded to 245 Montgomery Ave,
Pacolet, SC about a welfare check on a female who had not been heard from. Upon entry into the house a body of a female
was found. Pacolet police requested the
assistance of Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office Violent Crime Investigators
and Forensic 's. During the investigation Mark Allen Bradberry Sr was identified
as a person of interest and a search for his location began. On the morning of
11/03/2014 at approx. 10:00 AM, Mark Allen Bradberry, W/M, 245 Montgomery Ave.,
Pacolet, SC, 29372, was located asleep in the white Mitsubishi Mirage behind an
acquaintance's residence in the Pauline community of this county. That
acquaintance had seen the media coverage from last night; so instead of
answering the door when Bradberry knocked, they called 911. Upon arrival of
deputies, Bradberry was taken in custody without incident and transported to
the Sheriff's Office. After being interviewed all afternoon and after
consultation with the Solicitor's Office, Bradberry was arrested for the
offenses of Murder and Armed Robbery and transported to the detention facility.
The victim in the case, Connie Bataille, is Bradberry's mother. An autopsy was
conducted and it was determined that the victim died from blunt force trauma and
multiple stab wound.

12/17/2014 - Investigators arrest teacher fo Sexual Battery Against a Student
Earlier today, an investigator with the Special Victims Unit
of the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office arrested a former teacher at Broome
High School for the offense of Sexual Battery with a Student. The suspect is
Jonathan Neil Dover. School District 3 officials were notified several weeks
ago by several sources of a possible inappropriate relationship between Dover
and his student. Those officials conducted their own investigation into the
allegation, and as a result, Dover was allowed to resign from his position on
Monday, December 8, 2014. That same day, the officials notified law enforcement
of their findings, which began a criminal investigation by this agency that
included a detailed interview with the victim, who alleged a sexual battery
against Dover that occurred on the campus of Broome High School. The
investigator presented her findings to a magistrate yesterday afternoon, who
issued the warrant for Dover's arrest. Investigators were unable to locate
Dover last night, but after he retained an attorney earlier today, that
attorney facilitated Dover turning himself in at the Sheriff's Office a short
time ago.
